Starting Right with Honeybees

The seminar will be held March 27, 2010 in the McKinley room of the Stark County District Library, Main Branch. The address is 715 Market Ave. N, Canton OH.

Registration begins at 10:00 a.m., and the classes run from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There are breaks for refreshments and lunch.

The instructors are experienced beekeepers affiliated with the Stark County Beekeepers' Association. Class topics will cover basic equipment, setting up the apiary, obtaining bees, managing the hives, diseases and pests of bees, and more.

A fee of $40.00 per registrant, or $50.00 for a family all residing at the same address) includes the book Starting Right with Bees, a one-year membership in the SCBA, handouts, refreshments, and lunch. (The prices listed here are for registration at the door.)

Certificates will be awarded upon completion of the seminar.
