The Stark County Beekeepers will host the 2009 annual Winter Banquet at McKinley Presidential Library and Museum, 800 McKinley Monument Dr. NW, Canton OH 44708, on Saturday, December 19. Dinner is at 12:30 p.m. This is in place of the regular December 1 meeting.

This year's dinner will be catered by Rittenhouse Catering. The club will pay for up to two dinners per family for paid members. Additional dinners can be bought for $8.00 each for adults, $4.00 for children ages 3 to 11. No charge for children under 3.

The meal includes baked chicken, roast beef, new Irish round potatoes, rigatoni, cauliflower and broccoli salad, rolls and butter, coffee, and lemonade. Dinner does not include dessert. If you are so inclined, please bring a dessert to share.

The McKinley museum is not charging the club for the use of its hall. Thanks to Millard Niver for building the new observation hive and to Rick Blessing for keeping bees in it.

The museum is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We have access to the catering hall from 10:00 to 3:00. Come early and stay late to enjoy the museum, including the new exhibit on Stark County and the new observation hive.

Anyone who would like to participate in a gift exchange, please bring a wrapped unisex gift worth approximately $5.00.

We need a minimum of 50 people to meet the caterer's requirements. For reservations, please RSVP to Rick or Diane Blessing by Friday, December 11, 2009.

Because of the Winter Banquet, there will be no regular club meeting December 1.
