Welcome to the Stark County Beekeepers' Association
The Stark County Beekeepers' Association is a nonprofit, educational organization of beekeepers in in northeastern Ohio. We welcome both professional and amateur beekeepers. Meetings are free and open to the public, and individual and family memberships are modestly priced.
You do not have to be a current beekeeper to participate with the Stark County Beekeepers. Those with an interest in beekeeping, or those who are retired beekeepers, are welcome as well.
If you are a property owner with a swarm or feral colony of unwanted bees, contact one of our members about honeybee removal.

Spring is the time to make splits to increase your hive numbers or to help prevent swarming. Join us on May 31st from 10am to 2pm for a workshop to learn how!
On the event page for the Swarm Hive Workshop, I provided the cut list for you to build your own. Hopefully some of you intend to cut them out yourself. If so, here are the instructions for assembling it!
Fasteners - I use 1" staples with a 1/4" crown with a pneumatic staple gun from Harbor Freight. It works okay. I suppose you could use nails or screws too. Drywall screws would probably work fine.
